Well-child visits fall into several NON-URGENT categories and generally can be scheduled within 7 days.
If your child is already scheduled for a well-child visit but happens to be sick, we may still be able to do the well-child visit. If your child’s siblings are also sick, please call ahead so that we can accommodate them.
Advance scheduling of well-child visits is highly encouraged. As you complete each infant or toddler visit, please book an appointment for your child’s next checkup before leaving our offices. This will ensure that you don’t fall behind on the very important developmental checks and vaccination visits. For older children, we suggest you call 6 to 8 weeks ahead of your preferred time to schedule an annual checkup.
Follow-up visits are important to make sure that your child is recovering as the doctor expects. The physician will inform you when to come back, but make sure you schedule your follow-up visit before leaving our office. This ensures you will get the date and time you need and that the doctor has requested.
The physician will inform you when to come back for a vaccine-only visit, but make sure you schedule your appointment before you leave our office. This will ensure you get the date and time that works best for you. For the fastest service, please choose an appointment during our special Tuesday, Thursday and Friday vaccination clinics.
If your child’s school, college, sports coach or holiday camp requires an annual physical exam for fitness, we can also perform these assessments and issue any required certificates or immunization documents. Just be sure to bring the required forms along to your child’s scheduled appointment.
The limited number of Saturday appointments generally are reserved for sick children. If you absolutely must schedule a well visit for a Saturday, please book far in advance as the schedule fills up quickly.
